Order Confirmation
On receipt of your order, we will prepare your plant to be shipped on the following Monday or Tuesday. These preparations depend on the plant. Most plants are shipped bare root.
During busy launches there may be a delay in shipping your order.
Depending on your location, we may need to contact you via email to ascertain your phone number. This is because some couriers require this information to send shipping updates.
You can provide a phone number during the checkout process.
Shipping
During its time in transit, plants receive no light, may be subject to temperature fluctuations, and may not be handled with the utmost care. To give your plant the best start, we try to reduce transit time by shipping on Mondays and Tuesdays. We also suspend the plant in a protective layer of air bags within the box.
Please be aware that your new houseplant will undergo stress, and it is completely normal for a plant to lose a leaf due to transit shock. This is to be expected, though not always the case.
Please also note that when shipping internationally, it will take up to 2 weeks to have your houseplant inspected and shipped.
Aftercare
Your plant must become acclimated to it’s new environment before you plant it:
If your plant was shipped with bare roots, place it in water so that the roots are submerged. Keep the plant in water for a minimum of 72 hours before planting.
If your plant was shipped in a pot filled with LECA (Light Expanded Clay Aggregate), remove the wrapping from the pot and place the whole pot into a container so that the water is around one-half of the height of the pot. This will ensure that the roots are submerged.
Do not repot your plant into an alternative substrate for at least 10 days. Failure to do this will void our 10 day guarantee.
